Universiti Utara Malaysia prides itself on being an international campus, offering a multicultural experience for all. Students from Malaysia take advantage of opportunities to learn a new language, or work, learn or travel overseas. Students from outside Malaysia come to UUM for a first-class education, and to experience a vibrant and stimulating student experience. |
The International Student Association helps students of all nationalities to come together to appreciate and value the wider world, and the part they can all play in it.
We currently have more than 500 students studying here from outside of Malaysia. We believe there are several reasons why international students choose UUM.

Administrative Formalities- Visa, Student's Pass and Registration
Office of International Affairs (OIA) is the secretariat for international student for administration. Foreign students are required to register with the Office of International Affairs, Universiti Utara Malaysia (OIA-UUM). Visas are issued promptly by the Malaysian Immigration Department.
